Happy Thursday everyone! It has been another cool day across the South Plains with more showers and thunderstorms moving across the region. Rain will continue over the next few days with heavy rain expected at times. That means flooding will be a concern across the South Plains so drive with caution and remember to turn around, don’t drown. Storm severity will be low but we won’t rule it out completely so make sure to stay weather aware. Storm chances will begin to diminish as the low pressure system that is parked up to our Northwest finally starts to move out of the area on Monday. This is also allow temperatures to increase back into the mid to upper 80’s by the beginning of next week. However, our break from the rain will be short lived as we watch for our next rain chance on Wednesday.
