We saw a record-setting day Saturday, in terms of high temperatures. The warm air also stuck around on Sunday, with highs in the upper 80s. We did see a cold front move through the area, so highs won’t be as high this afternoon as they were over the weekend. We’ll still see sunny skies today, but with that cooler air in place, Lubbock will only reach a high of 75°. The wind will be at 15-20 mph, gusting to 35 mph at times.
There will be more cumulus clouds across the region tomorrow, but skies will remain mostly sunny. We’ll actually see lower high temperatures, even though skies will be sunny. The wind is going to drop down to 10-15 mph and will not be gusty like today. Lubbock’s high will be below average, as we will reach 72°. So, the cold front will still impact us, even though it is going to be long gone.
