We’re actually seeing clouds rolling through the area from the west this morning. They will be clearing as we move through the rest of the day. So, by afternoon, skies will be sunny and the air will be much warmer. Wind is going to be from the south-southwest at 15-20 mph, with some gusts to 35 mph at times. We’ll have a very warm afternoon, with a high reaching 83°. A cold front will pass through by tomorrow morning.
Overnight, skies will be relatively clear. The wind is going to stay up at 10-15 mph. That is going to help to hold low temperatures in the low 50s. Lubbock will begin the day at 51°. However, a cold front will move through by 7:00 am. That is going to shift the wind around to the north-northeast, dropping temperatures, before they move up
