Well, it was very unfortunate not to see measurable rain in Lubbock on Friday. The storms missed us to the north. If there’s a consolation prize, I suppose people in our area did get some much needed rain. Today is going to see more sunshine and dry air. The wind will only be at 5-10 mph, which is very nice to see. Lubbock can expect to see a high temperature of 77°. That is right near average for today. It will be a great day to get outside.
Overnight, expect to see clear skies and light wind. Usually that means colder air, but we will actually only drop down to a low temperature of 50°. The wind will stay light on Tuesday, as it will only be sustained at 5-10 mph. It will be a mostly sunny and warm day. The high temperature will reach 83°. As a cold front moves into the region, we will see very isolated storms just east of Lubbock tomorrow evening. Coverage will be at 10%.
