The low pressure system that brought in the clouds and cooler air the last two days is gone. That means that sunshine is going to dominate the area this afternoon. The wind will increase to 10-15 mph just after lunch time. That is not bad at all for west Texas. Lubbock can expect plenty of sunshine with a high temperature of 82°. A weak cool front will move into the area today. The only thing that will do is drop high temperatures by tomorrow. There will bemostly sunny skies on your Friday, with a high of 77°.
