We’re going to see a cold front moving through Lubbock by 3:00 pm. This is going to bring with it strong wind and cooler air. The wind will be at 30-35 mph as the front moves in and it will shift to the north and northeast. There will be mostly sunny skies and we will reach a high of 77° before the cold front. Temperatures will drop into the low 60s behind the front.
Overnight will see very cold air behind the front. Skies will be partly cloudy and the wind will still be at 10-20 mph. Lubbock is going to drop down to 31° by tomorrow morning, with colder air to the west. The afternoon on Saturday will see a mix of clouds and sunshine and much cooler air. The wind will be at 10-15 mph, so even though the high is going to be 57°, it will feel more like the upper 40s.
