Things are more quiet and calm as we get going on this Thursday. There are very few leftover clouds in the area, which will linger throughout the day. High pressure to the west will keep things warm and dry today. We’re going to expect to see a high of 93° in Lubbock. The wind will stay light, so no help there. Remember the sunscreen and hats today, the UV Outlook is going to be Very High.

Friday will see a warm start to the day, as we will get few clouds in the morning. So, the low will only be 70°. That is going to lead to another warm and sunny afternoon. The high pressure will begin to move to the east, so it will basically be right over us tomorrow. Lubbock will reach a high temperature of 92° under sunny skies. Highs will be near 95°-96° over in the Rolling Plains.
