Today will be the last calm day before an active weather pattern takes shape. The ridge of high pressure that has been affecting the weather the last several days will move east tonight. That will allow for a disturbance to bring in thunderstorms this weekend. Today is looking to stay mostly sunny, with a high temperature of 93°. Thunderstorms will be isolated after sunset, through the morning at 10%.
Tomorrow will see increasing clouds in the early morning. We’ll begin the day at 71°, under partly sunny skies. The afternoon is going to continue to see more clouds than sun, with isolated thunderstorms in the area at 20%. The best spots to see storms will be in the northern counties. Lubbock will make it to a high temperature of 91°.
