We’re already seeing thunderstorms in the area to start the day. In fact, there’s flooding ongoing in Swisher and Briscoe Counties. So, be sure to watch for flooded roads and stay safe while driving this morning. There will be storms moving in from the west throughout the morning. Heavy rain is certainly possible. The afternoon will see mostly sunny skies, with scattered storms and a high of 92°.

We’ll begin to try to get dry air in the area tomorrow. Skies will be mostly sunny in the afternoon, with light wind. I can’t rule out an isolated storm in the area at 10%. That would be more likely in the Rolling Plains. The bulk of the storms will exit by morning. Lubbock is going to see a high temperature of 94°.
