Things are looking very quiet and calm out there to begin the day. We’ll stay right around 70° through the 7:00 am hour. Then, we’re going to look at mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. Wind is going to remain light. You’ll notice that the air will feel muggy. That is thanks to moisture returning to the region. Lubbock will get to a high temperature of 94°.
The weekend is going to begin with more quiet weather for Saturday. We’re going to see an upper-level ridge in the area, so expect dry conditions for most of the area. There will be a stray storm in the northern counties tomorrow afternoon, but coverage is less than 10%. That is why we’ll expect to stay dry. Otherwise, skies remain mostly sunny, with a high in Lubbock of 93°.
