Well, I guess a total solar eclipse helps to bring rain to the area, because that is what we saw on Monday. the eclipse finished up, we saw increasing clouds and a few hours later, showers and storms. Lubbock picked up .75″ from the storm yesterday. We’ll see more isolated storms this afternoon at 20%. Watch out for heavy rainfall and street flooding. We’ll get to a high of 89°.

A cold front will move in tomorrow afternoon. That will help to enhance thunderstorms in the area. Coverage is going to get up to 30%, so the storms will stay scattered. That front will help to drop highs below average. Lubbock is forecast to see a high temperature of 84°. There will be minor flooding with any storms tomorrow. There is plenty of moisture in the air, so rainfall amounts will exceed an inch an hour, at times tomorrow.
