We’re still looking at high pressure to the northwest keeping control over west Texas. That is why we have been seeing very quiet weather. The clear skies and light wind overnight as allowed for more locations to dip down into the 50s. We’re even looking at low 50s to the northwest. This afternoon is going to see sunny skies and light wind. Lubbock can expect a high temperature of 86°.
Overnight, the theme of clear skies and light wind will continue. So, expect lows to drop into the 50s once more. We’ll get 52°-53° near the state line and mid-to-upper 50s elsewhere. There will continue to be sunny skies on Thursday afternoon. That is going to bring highs back into the upper 80s, with Lubbock reaching 87°. That will stay below average once again.
