Wind will be out of the southwest this afternoon. That is going to promote warmer air returning to west Texas. High temperatures this afternoon will be nearly ten degrees above average area-wide. Lubbock wil make it up to a high of 62°. But don’t get used to that. A strong cold front will move in early tomorrow morning. Wind will switch to the north at 35-45 mph, with gusts to 55 mph. The high tomorrow will only reach 43°, feeling more like the upper teens.
