Things are quiet and just cold as we get going on this Wednesday. Temperatures aren’t going to be as low as Tuesday morning, but most spots on the Caprock are still in the 20s. Wind chill values are down into the teens once more. This afternoon will see another warm up. Wind will stay at 10-15 mph and will shift to the north-northeast this afternoon. That shift is due to our next cold front. But, before the front, we’ll reach a high temperature of 68°.
That cold front will help things get cold again for Thursday morning. Lows will be very similar to what we saw this morning. The northwest counties will have the potential to be closer to 20° tomorrow. The afternoon on Thursday will see increasing clouds and much colder air. Expect a high temperature of only 52°, with wind at 10-15 mph making it feel more like the mid 40s in Lubbock.
