The clouds in the morning will clear off this afternoon, giving way to sunny skies and strong wind. That wind is going to be sustained at 30-40 mph, with gusts to 55 mph, especially between 3:00-5:00 pm. So be careful out there while driving. Lubbock will see the high temperature make it to 62°. Tomorrow will see the wind drop, but the warmth and dry air will stick around. WInd will drop to 10-15 mph, which is a lot better than what we’re going to see today. The high will drop, but we’ll still reach 61°. The dry weather is going to cause high fire danger out there all week long.
