The clouds are thickening this morning as the cold front makes its way through west Texas. The radar is trying to show that we’re seeing rain…and we are. It’s just not reaching the ground because of the large layer of dry air that we have. So, we’ll have to wait to see the showers until later on. We have already hit our high temperature of 58° at midnight. The day time high temperature will only be 42°, with wind at 10-15 mph, making it feel like the low 30s. Isolated showers will be in the area tonight, through 2:00 am Saturday, but only at 20%.
After those showers clear the area by 2:00-3:00 am, we’ll see more dry air coming back. The low on Saturday will only be 38°. That is thanks to the cloud cover. However, the clouds will begin to lessen by the afternoon and mostly sunny skies will dominate. The wind is going to be at 10-15 mph during the day. With the sunshine in the afternoon, we’re going to see a high temperature climb back up to 67°. So what a difference between Friday and Saturday.
