There are passing clouds coming in from the northwest this morning. These clouds are holding temperatures up, for most. We’re in the upper 20s to the west and northwest and just below freezing here in Lubbock. Once the clouds pass, we’ll drop a few degrees. The rest of the day is going to see sunny skies. The wind will be at 10-15 mph out of the south this afternoon. Even with the south wind, our high in Lubbock will only reach 52°.
Overnight is going to bring in more clouds, as skies will return to being partly cloudy. With the clouds around, our low temperatures will be higher than what we’re going to see today. Lubbock will drop down only to 34°. With that said, it wills till be cold in the morning. The rest of the day will see the wind at 10-15 mph in the afternoon. As a cool front moves on in, that wind will increase in the evening to 20-25 mph and shift to the west-northwest. The high will get to 74°.
