KLBK AM Weather February 5, 2018

There are just a few clouds out there this morning and that is really all. The air is very cold behind a cold front that came through yesterday evening. Temperatures are in the teens with clear skies to the west. There are just a few clouds over Lubbock County, so our temperature has gone up a few degrees. That will drop once the skies clear before sunrise. Today is going to see mostly sunny skies with above average highs. Expect the high temperature to make it to 68° here in Lubbock. Wind is going to be sustained at 15-20 mph, with gusts reaching 30 mph at times.

Overnight, we’ll see increasing clouds. Another cold front is going to move in tonight, making it much colder by tomorrow. You won’t notice that in the morning, as lows will be higher than what we’re getting today. Lubbock will start tomorrow at 32°. However, the colder air will be felt the rest of the day with a mix of clouds and sunshine. The high temperature is only going to make it up to 51°. With the wind blowing at 10-15 mph, it will feel more like the low 40s.
