KLBK AM Weather February 6, 2018

Yesterday was day number 89 since we last saw measurable precipitation in Lubbock. Today will remain dry and will mark three months since we last measured rain/snow. This is really bad news because things will be dry and breezy today. The wind is helping to aide in evaporation, so conditions are not favorable for farming, or irrigating right now. Today will see a mix of clouds and sunshine, with a high of 45°.

Expect to see a cold start to the day tomorrow, under partly cloudy skies. The wind will still be at 10-15 mph in the morning hours, so it will feel colder. We’ll start the day at 23°, but it will feel more like 15°. So, be sure to cover all exposed skies, especially for the kids at the bus stop. The afternoon will see clouds clearing and more sunshine. The wind will be 5-10 mph in the afternoon, with a high temperature reaching 54°.
