Expect more low clouds to be moving through the area from west to east through late morning. There are snow and rain showers showing up in eastern New Mexico. However, these will not reach the ground. We have a very strong layer of dry air in place and that is going to prevent us from seeing measurable precipitation. That activity will just give us clouds and cooler air today. Expect the high in Lubbock to reach 54°, which is below average. We’ll also get light wind.

Overnight, clear skies will return. So, that, along with light wind, will make things cold again by tomorrow morning. The low will drop to 25° in Lubbock, with lows in the teens to the west and northwest. We’ll rebound in the afternoon, as the wind will shift to the south-southwest, pumping in warm and dry air. We’ll climb up to a high of 67°. Wind is going to be sustained at 10-15 mph.
