We’re once again looking at clouds moving on in from the west. The big story today will be the wind and all the problems that will cause. I hope you are going to take your allergy medication today! We’ll have sustained wind from the west-southwest at 25-35 mph, gusting to 50 mph this afternoon. That will cause blowing dust and downed tree branches are likely. Other than that, it’ll be mostly sunny, with a high reaching 70° here in Lubbock.

The wind will stay up at 15-20 mph overnight, into Thursday morning. So, that will help to keep the lows up above average and above freezing. We’ll start the day at 38° with the wind making it feel more like the upper 20s. Sustained wind on Thursday afternoon is going to be at 20-30 mph, with gusts reaching 40 mph. It’s going to be colder tomorrow behind a cold front, as the high will only make it to 48°.
