We are seeing very cold air across the region this morning. Clouds have cleared and wind has dropped down. That is the reason for the cold conditions this morning. Temperatures are already down into the teens for areas to the north and northwest of Lubbock. Wind chill values there are also in the single digits. So, bundle up this morning. The afternoon is going to rebound with sunny skies and 10-15 mph wind. We’ll see a high temperature of 61°.
Overnight, expect more clear skies with light wind. So, things will be very cold to start your weekend. Another cold front will help the cause, as well. Saturday is going to begin with a low temperature of 20°. Lows will be closer to 12°-15° to the west and northwest. Things won’t be much better in the afternoon. There will be sunny skies and light wind, but we’re only going to make it up to 43°. Dress warm if you’re going to the West Virginia-Texas Tech basketball game at 1:00 pm.
