Now, it is still very cold outside, with nearly all of us seeing temperatures in the single digits. Wind chill values are well below zero, as well. So, if you must be out and about this morning, make sure you are covering all exposed skin. We will be seeing more sunshine this afternoon and it will be warmer then what we saw to start out the new year. Lubbock will make it up to a high temperature of 31°.
With clear skies and light wind overnight, we’ll see more cold air filtering down into the region. Expect the low to reach 15° here in Lubbock, with more single digits to the west and northwest. The afternoon tomorrow will make it above freezing and it will be a much warmer day. With sunny skies and light wind, Lubbock will hit a high temperature of 51°! That is still below average, but better then the last few days.
