We’re looking at some low, thin clouds sticking around most of the area to start the day. These clouds won’t do much for us, but they’re just hanging around. This afternoon will be very similar to what we saw in the area on Monday. Skies will be sunny and the wind will be sustained at 10-15 mph. With this high pressure ridge over us, not much will change this week. Lubbock will make it up to a high temperature of 96°.

Overnight, expect more quiet weather for the South Plains. The wind will actually stay up at 10-15 mph, which will help to keep the lows in the low 70s. The rest of the day Wednesday is looking to be sunny, breezy and dry. The wind will stay at 10-15 mph and Lubbock will make it up to a high temperature of 95°. The ridge will begin to weaken slightly as we move into the end of this week.
