We finally got the fireworks in last night and it was a spectacular show! We also had slow-moving, very isolated storms in the area on Sunday. In fact, Lubbock saw 1.76″ of rain just on Sunday, which gives us a surplus for the month and year. That is always good news as we move through July. Today will see mostly sunny skies, with light wind. I can’t rule out a stray storm in the area. Otherwise, we’re dry, with a high of 92°.
Things will continue to dry out as we move into the day Tuesday. Skies will be partly cloudy overnight, as Lubbock drops down to 72°. It’ll be a calm and quiet start to a calm and quiet afternoon. Skies will be bright blue and clear, with tons of sunshine area-wide. we’ll get above average tomorrow, as Lubbock will make it up to a high of 95°.
