A cold front is moving down from the panhandle this morning. It’s already bringing showers and thunderstorms to the north and northwestern counties. There will be areas of heavy rain and a lot of lightning on I-27 during the morning rush. Keep the umbrellas handy, because we’ll get scattered thunderstorms this afternoon at 40%. Lubbock will get to a high of 90°. We’ll stay in the low 90s tomorrow, as showers and storms exit the region during the morning hours. So, the afternoon will remain dry and calm.
