KLBK AM Weather June 14, 2018

We’re seeing another round of overnight showers and a few storms breaking apart north of Lubbock this morning. There is measurable rain falling in the northern Rolling Plains, which is nice. We absolutely do need to see that rain, so at least someone is seeing it. This activity will diminish by 7:00 am and will not affect Lubbock. Skies will be sunny this afternoon, with 10-15 mph wind and the high will get to 94°.

Overnight will see partly cloudy skies. I am not expecting any more overnight storms to form. But, the high pressure is beginning to move to the east, which will open the door for more rain early next week. We’ll start off Friday at 71°. It’ll be another sunny day in the afternoon tomorrow. Lubbock will get 10-15 mph wind and the high will make it to 93°, which is just above average.
