Well, yesterday was another day over 100° which makes it now five days in-a-row that we have accomplished that. Not sure we should be proud of that! But for today, expect much of the same. Today will be day six in-a-row at, or above 100°. Expect sunny skies to continue this afternoon. Lubbock is going to look at a high temperature right at 100°. There will be a storm, or two, across Briscoe, Hall, Motley and Cottle Counties this afternoon/evening. Those will be the only counties really capable of seeing a storm today.

By tomorrow, a ridge of high pressure is going to settle over the area, which will make things very hot going into the weekend. Skies will remain sunny tomorrow afternoon. The wind will stay light, which will not help us out at all. We really need that wind to at least give us some feeling of cool air. Lubbock is going to see a high temperature of 104°. Highs will be near 105°-108° in the Rolling Plains. So, be sure to stay safe while outside.
