There is a line of thunderstorms along and north of I-40 to get things started today. I am going to watch and see how far south this line will move this morning. There has been weakening with this complex as it pushes south. However, if it holds together, there will be some showers and storms in the Rolling Plains. Otherwise, we’re going to see a mostly sunny day, with slightly lower humidity. The high in Lubbock will get to 93°. I can’t rule out isolated storms late tonight in the Rolling Plains, either.

For Thursday, we will expect to see another mostly sunny afternoon. Wind is going to stay light, so it will not be bad at all out side. We’ll actually get dry air returning, so it will not be as muggy as recent days. With that dry air in place, showers and storms will be squashed, unfortunately. So, you can get out and enjoy the day, or if you’re working outside it will not be too awful. We’ll make it to a high of 92°.
