It’s so nice to be talking about the rain we saw overnight. We did have strong wind with the line of storms that rolled through late last night and early this morning. Now, we’ll just have to watch out for flooded roadways as you head off to work. Several places received more than two inches of rain in less than 12 hours. That is why we have flooding as a concern. The rest of the day will have a mix of clouds and sun, with a high of 81°.
Overnight, we’ll get another round of isolated thunderstorms in the area. Coverage will be at 10%, so you should sleep through the night, even if some rain moves through. Tomorrow afternoon is looking to be mostly sunny, with warmer air flowing back into the area. Highs will stay below average, but Lubbock will still make it up to 89°. Wind will increase to 10-15 mph in the afternoon hours.
