The large area of showers and thunderstorms missed most of us last night as it fizzled out east of the state line. We’re still going to see plenty of moisture in the area today. That moisture will lead to larger coverage of showers and storms out there today at 50%. Storms will begin later in the afternoon and last potentially past midnight east of Lubbock. We’ll have to watch for flooding today and tomorrow. Lubbock will get to a high of 81° today. More thunderstorms expected tomorrow afternoon at 40%. The high will get to 82° on Wednesday. Just watch for pockets of heavy rain out there.
