We managed to squeeze out a few more thunderstorms in the area on Tuesday. Officially, Lubbock had .00″ of rain, but we did see rain in other parts of the city and county. This will not help us out today, though. We are going to see a hot afternoon, under mostly sunny skies. Wind this afternoon will get to 10-15 mph, which is basically average for west Texas all the time. Lubbock is going to see a high temperature of 103°.
Things are going to be quiet overnight, but the air will remain on the warm side. Wind is going to remain at 10-15 mph, as well. The low temperature will only be 74°. Thursday is going to be the hottest day of the week. Skies will stay mostly sunny, so if we’re lucky, we’ll get a break from the sun at times. Even with that said, expect to see the high temperature make it up all the way to 104°. I can’t rule out a shower, or storm in the area at 10% in the afternoon/evening.
