Today will be the last day of the triple digit heat at least for the next seven days. We are going to see mostly sunny skies, with 10-15 mph wind and a high of 101°. The dry line will be moving just east of Lubbock, so I can’t rule out some isolated storms in the Rolling Plains. There will be a few storms with half-dollar size hail and wind gusts to 70 mph. I will keep you updated in case there are any warnings this evening.

Overnight, we will see partly cloudy skies, with any storms ending by 10:00 pm. Otherwise, it will be a warm one out there, with a low of only 74°. We’ll see mostly sunny skies on Friday, with the dry line west of Lubbock. That means the door is open for isolated storms to affect more than Thursday. Coverage is going to be 20%, with some severe storms possible. The high temperature will get to 98°.
