Under the clouds, temperatures are in the mid 40s. Those clouds will clear to the east and give way to sunny skies this afternoon. Lubbock will get wind at 10-15 mph, with a high temperature reaching 63°. Right on average for March 1.
Overnight, skies will remain clear and the air dry. So, we’ll get a cold start to the day Friday. The low temperature is going to drop to 33° in Lubbock. Lows will be below freezing in our western counties. Wind will shift to the south tomorrow at 10-15 mph. That will help to pump in warmer air, so high temperatures will be above average. Lubbock will make it to 68°.
