We are seeing a much colder start to the day compared to what we had on Monday. The cold front that passed through yesterday is responsible for that. We’re seeing many spots back below freezing during the last few hours of winter. This afternoon will begin to see warmer air under sunny skies. Wind will only be at 5-10 mph, much better than what we had on Monday. Lubbock’s high will get to 69°.

Tonight will see clear skies and light wind once again. However, it will not be as cold tomorrow morning. We’ll see that wind shift around to the south-southwest, so the low will drop to 40°. We’ll start to see the wind increase Wednesday up to 10-15 mph. With that wind shifting around, we’re going to see a warmer day. Lubbock is going to make it to a high of 79° on the first full day of spring.
