We were able to squeeze out another .01″ of rain before midnight. However, dry air is going to be taking over as we go through the day today. So, expect to see sunny skies this afternoon. The clouds this morning will move to the east and southeast by mid-morning. The wind is going to increase to 15-20 mph, with gusts to 35 mph through early afternoon. We’re going to see a high temperature of 66°. The average is 70°.
Overnight, things will be very calm and quiet. Skies will be clear and the wind will be at 10-15 mph. The low is going to drop down to 36°. It will feel more like the upper 20s in the morning though, so make sure you’re dressed warm. Lubbock ISD does not have school tomorrow, so the kids can get outside in the afternoon. The only issue is the wind. It will be at 15-20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph at times. The high will be 72°.
