Those clouds that helped to keep high temperatures below average have moved on out of the area and we’re getting clear skies to start this Tuesday. Even with the clear skies, it is not too cold out there. Generally, temperatures are into the low 20s northwest and upper 20s, to mid 30s elsewhere. We’re going to continue to see clear skies for the rest of the day. Even with all of the sunshine this afternoon, Lubbock will only make it to a high temperature of 63°, which is just below the average for today.
Overnight, we’re going to see clear skies again. The wind is going to stay near 10 mph, so it will not be too cold again. We’ll start out Wednesday at 28° here in Lubbock. It will feel like the low 20s out there, so be sure to bundle up. Skies will stay sunny for Wednesday afternoon, thanks to the influence of high pressure. Wind will be sustained at 10-15 mph, with a high temperature making it to 64°.
