We managed to squeeze out some thunderstorms yesterday across parts of the area. There was plenty of hail and some much needed rain for some. Lubbock only officially came in with a trace of precipitation. Today will see any clouds clearing this afternoon. Wind is going to remain elevated, as it will be sustained at 15-20 mph, with occasional gusts to 35 mph. So, today will be a high fire danger day. No outdoor burning at all. The high will get to 90°.

Overnight, expect clouds to be on the increase, especially after midnight. The wind will stay at 10-20 mph, which will keep low temperatures well above the average for this time of year. Lubbock will begin the day tomorrow with a temperature of 63°. The afternoon will see a mix of clouds and sunshine. The wind is going to be at 15-25 mph, with gusts to 35 mph in the afternoon. The high temperature will make it to 89°.
