The showers and thunderstorms that some of us saw on Monday are gone. Lubbock missed out again, thanks to the dry line staying just east of us. That was expected, unfortunately. This afternoon will get another round of showers and thunderstorms in the area. Any thunderstorm has the potential to see strong wind gusts to 70 mph. Otherwise, we will get mostly sunny skies, with a high temperature of 91°.
Overnight, there will be leftover storms dying out across the northern counties. Expect to see partly cloudy skies through morning. The overnight low is only going to drop to 64°. Wind will remain light. The rest of the day tomorrow will see mostly sunny skies, with light wind again. The high is going to climb to 90° in Lubbock. I can’t rule out an isolated storm in the area at 10%.
