We had another round of severe thunderstorms in the area on Tuesday and Lubbock finally received measurable rain! We did get some large hail on the west side of town. That will have to be the trade off this time of year, I suppose. The dry line is going to stay west of Lubbock this afternoon and evening, so we’ll get more isolated storms. These storms will form to the northwest and move southeast. Coverage will be at 20%. Lubbock will see a high of 92°.
The dry line is going to stay to the west on Thursday, so expect more moisture to flow into the region. Skies will be mostly sunny as we move into the afternoon. So, with the sun and moisture, along with lift off the dry line, more thunderstorms will form in the afternoon and evening. Coverage is only 10% and severe weather is not anticipated. We’ll make it to a high temperature of 93°.
