Today is going to be another calm, warm and sunny day. The wind will increase this afternoon to 10-15 mph, with higher end wind reaching 18 mph at times. That is quite normal here in Lubbock. The high temperature will make it to 89°. Tomorrow is going to see quiet weather for most of the day. There will be sunny skies and 15-20 mph wind with a high of 88°. We’ll start to see thundestorms develop after 7:00 pm. The greatest risk for severe storms is going to be southeast of Lubbock. However, Lubbock could still see 2-3″ size hail, 80 mph wind and a few tornadoes in the area. So stay weather aware tomorrow night.
