It was so nice to see the rain over the weekend. Very unfortunate to see such large hail affect Lubbock. We are now cutting into the deficit with the rain, but we have a lot to make up this year. Today, if any storms get going, they are going to stay along and west of the state line. Lubbock will see a mix of clouds and sun, with a high temperature of 80°. Wind will stay light today.
Overnight, I can’t rule out a few storms drifting east from the state line. Coverage overnight will be 10%, as storms stay isolated. The rest of the day Tuesday will be cloudy and below average. There will be scattered thunderstorms in the area at 30%. Some storms will have heavy rain, so watch out for flooding. We’ll get to a high temperature of 81°.
