KLBK AM Weather May 29, 2017

On this Memorial Day, let us all thank those that have served our military over the years. Today is going to be a good day to get outdoors. If you have plans this afternoon, just remember the sunscreen. We’re going to have plenty of sunshine across the region this afternoon. If any clouds can make into west Texas, they’ll be northwest of Lubbock. Otherwise, we’ll have dry air in place, with a high temperature of 85°. That’s two degrees below average.

Tuesday will continue to see dry air, but with warmer conditions. At least during the day, dew points will only be in the 30s and 40s, which is pretty low. That means that storms will be hard to get going. We’re going to see mostly sunny skies, with cumulus clouds giving us breaks from the sun. Lubbock will experience light wind, with a high of 87°. That’s right on the average high. We’ll begin to see storms approach the area Tuesday night, into Wednesday morning.
