Another cold front has passed through most of the area this morning. We’re still seeing warm air down to the southeast, with much colder air to the northwest. This Canadian cold front will keep high temperatures below average for this afternoon. Wind will still be a factor today, as it will be sustained at 10-15 mph. Expect to see a high temperature of 78° here in Lubbock. That would be a lot better if the wind was not blowing, but it is west Texas after all!
Overnight, expect to see clear skies and as the cold front pushes farther south, the wind will become light. So, Saturday morning will be cool. The low will drop down to 49°. The wind is going to remain light all day on Saturday, so enjoy it! Don’t forget about the Cinco de Mayo parade and Lemonade Day. You can hit up the parade, then go to several lemonade stands around town to help out the kids. We’ll see sunny skies, with a high temperature of 84°.
