This weekend saw great weather to get outside, with the sunshine and light wind. The air was not too warm, so we could actually enjoy it. Well, that will change this week. A high pressure ridge is going to help pump in very warm air, as 90s return to the forecast. This afternoon will see more sunshine, with wind increasing to 10-20 mph. Lubbock is going to see a high temperature of 95°.

Overnight, expect skies to be clear, with increasing clouds by sunrise. The wind will stay at 10-15 mph through the early morning hours. The low is only going to drop to 65°. The afternoon will see increasing clouds, with 10-15 mph wind out of the south-southwest. That wind direction will bring in the dry air and warmth. Expect the high temperature to climb up to 94°. There will be high fire danger with the warm and dry conditions.
