We’re now into the month of November and it will not feel like it at all. The wind flow is going to be coming out of the west today. When that happens, we always see warm air flowing into west Texas. The wind flows down from the Sacramento Mountains in New Mexico. When that happens, the air warms up, then moves east. That is what we’ll see higher temperatures this afternoon. Lubbock is going to make it up to a high of 81°.
The air is going to continue to move out of the west tomorrow, as well. So, the down sloping wind is going to actually get the highs up higher tomorrow then what we will see today. Wind will gust up to 45 mph, so there will be times when we will see blowing dust out there. The skies will be sunny, but the wind is going to be the problem. Lubbock is looking to make it up to a high temperature of 83°. Highs will be in the upper 80s in the Rolling Plains.
