For the most part, skies are clear this morning as any thin clouds have already pushed east. We are watching low clouds and patchy fog come in from the west. The fog is concentrated along the state line at this point. That is something to keep in mind as you head out this morning. Otherwise, we’re going to see any clouds breaking up this afternoon and giving way to mostly sunny skies. We’re going to make it to a high temperature of 60°. Wind will remain at 5-10 mph.

Overnight, skies will be cloudy again. This will help to keep low temperatures up higher then what we are looking at today. Lubbock will drop to only 46°. That is still chilly, but certainly not as bad as the 20s we saw in the area on Thursday morning. The wind will shift to the southwest tomorrow, which will bring in warm and dry air. Expect a high of 73° on Veterans Day for Lubbock. The wind will be sustained at 10-15 mph, with occasional gusts to 30 mph.
