Well, it’s back to work and school today after the Thanksgiving holiday. We’re going to be greeted with the west Texas wind once more. We’re going to see an uptick in the wind today as it will be sustained at 10-20 mph from the west-southwest. That is going to help warm things up this afternoon. We’re going to see a high temperature of 77° here in Lubbock, with low 80s over in the Rolling Plains.

A cool front is going to pass through the area tonight, dropping highs by tomorrow. The wind will increase even more with this front. Expect southwest wind to be sustained at 25-30 mph, gusting to 40 mph in the afternoon. Skies will be sunny and the air will remain very dry. Our high temperature will drop down to 64° in Lubbock. That is still above the average high, but will feel bad out with all that wind blowing around.
