We are looking at cloudy skies, with light rain falling in some areas. As expected, the precipitation is staying as rain. We were never expecting wintry weather this morning in Lubbock. Way up north, in Briscoe and Hall Counties, temperatures are lower there, so you will see a very light mix of rain and sleet. No major issue expected since it has been so warm this Autumn. This afternoon will see mostly sunny skies, with light wind and a high of only 47°.

Overnight, we’ll be seeing any leftover clouds leave the area. So, expect clear skies and light wind. With the current air mass in place, things will get cold by tomorrow morning. Lubbock is going to drop down to 28°. Lows to the northwest will be closer to 20°-24°. So, have the heaters ready to go and turn the sprinklers off. Tomorrow afternoon will see sunny skies and highs will rebound. Lubbock will make it to a high of 63°.
