There were some low clouds streaming across the area earlier this morning. Now, skies are clear, but the air is still warm on this Thursday morning. In fact, Lubbock is still at 60°, with many spots coming in with temperatures in the low and mid 50s. So, it is a warm morning and it will be a warm afternoon. The southwest wind is going to pump in the warm and dry air today. Lubbock can expect to see all sunshine and no clouds, with a high of 83°.
We’re going to see another warm night, as skies are looking to be mainly clear. The wind will stay at 10 mph over night, so that will help to keep lows in the low 60s only. Tomorrow is going to see mostly sunny skies. The wind will increase to 10-15 mph from the south-southwest. That will help Lubbock jump up to a high temperature of 85°. Kickoff for high school football games will see a temperature of 76°.
